Summary: From a kinkmeme prompt: Kirk/Pike aliens made them do it. Jim is a brat, Pike is resigned yet wily, and the aliens have a flair for mood lighting.
Notes: In my headcanon, Pike recovers after the movie and regains captaincy of the Enterprise. Jim is third in command.

Teaser: Jim should be hurt by that but he just grins, curling his fingers into the hollow of Pike's palm. "Let's think about this logically, ok?" Pike chose Spock as his XO so clearly he appreciates logic. "We can do this and have it be really awkward," says Jim, "or we can have it be really hot. I vote for hot," he adds unnecessarily.

It only took me 3 brief shots and two lines of dialogue to realize that a random guest character on Xena was played by Marton Csokas. He was tied to a cross at the time, which may have helped. In my mind Marton Csokas is permanently associated with bondage, ok, don't judge me.

So apparently Csokas plays this random dude in Season 3, then skip an episode and he plays Boris (BORIAS!) for a two-parter, then plays the random dude again. This is notable because 1) the show's habit of reusing actors is hilarious and 2) Random Guy is in the same episode as Caesar. Yes. Marton Csokas and Karl Urban in the same plotline. Sadly it's a really crappy plotline wherein Gabby gives birth to the Antichrist (don't ask) but I'm going to watch it again anyway.

I noticed Marton Csokas on my first time around watching Xena but Karl Urban somehow escaped my notice. I am remedying that now. And then I should go watch that Bourne movie they're both in. I posted a YouTube clip several years ago of Csokas' scene, where he holds out his hands very politely for Matt Damon to tie him up while advancing threatingly on him. It's a very interesting power play. Csokas sort of epitomizes topping from the bottom, which is very important when you date Xena. Unless you're Caesar, who tops from the top. And then there's Callisto, who is a bratty sub that very few doms can handle. At times she may technically top from the bottom but not with that smooth, elegant steadiness that Csokas brings to everything he does.

I just. I should probably stop, now.

Ok, one of these does not have crosshatching, but it is a nude and that's the important part.

Some of these are better than others; the digital quality is fairly crappy on all of them. I should really spend some time with a scanner one day, though I'm worried that the graphite (these are all done in pencil) will be too shiny from the direct light and blank out. Or I could. You know. Take pictures when the sun's up (but it burrrns us, preciousssss!)

1. I just finished the rough draft of the final part of my Kink Meme fic. And it's not even horrendously-rough, just normal-rough. I'M GOING TO FULFILL A COMMITMENT, GUYS. I FEEL SO RESPONSIBLE. Only problem is, now I have to figure out a title. CURSES.


2. One more test tomorrow, then I'm done! I'm going to knit a blanket over break, because that's what industrious people do when they can't sleep from the cold.


3. I'm finally getting my comment notifications! LJ Status says the system should be all caught up in the next few hours. Yizzay.


4. JUST SO Y'ALL KNOW, I sent Ryan North, the creator of Dinosaur Comics, a slightly modified, much bigger version of my poster. (The T-Rex on the poster is a character from Dinosaur Comics, jsyk.)

He is basically the sweetest and most awesome guy in the world. He's also Canadian. Admittedly I am drawing on prejudice and stereotype here but I don't think that is a coincidence. Please don't take this as an invitation to tell me stories about Canadians who are stupid and mean. Santa isn't real, ok, I HAVE TO BELIEVE IN SOMETHING. :(

Well, it's official. My brother and I both have grey hairs.

I suppose my parents will spend the rest of the day chortling with the sweet glee of the finally avenged.

This one actually fits into my plan for the series, which is to sketch out Jim's journey to captaincy and beyond. Drunk!Sulu makes a special appearance.

I... don't know where the ending is going. I'm just typing these things, ok, I don't actually plan them. In fact, I had intended to tell a sweet story about Joanna telling her dad she has a disease and a hug is the only cure, but it went AWOL and I ended up with this.


I need to come up with a series name, methinks. Or at least a tag. ^^
